Not enough time is no longer an excuse!

You hear it everyday when people talk about working out or finding time for their health. The usual excuse is that there is just not enough time. Between jobs, school, kids, housework and a social life there just does not seem to be room on the schedule to take the time for their health. It makes sense. If you are traveling to a gym, getting in a solid 60 minute class or weight lifting session and then traveling back home, I can completely understand why there just is not enough time in the day. Luckily, for those looking for that small window in their schedules to open up we have some good news.
A study by The University of Copenhagen has found that 30 minutes of daily exercise does the trick. “30 minutes of daily training provides an equally effective loss of weight and body mass as 60 minutes. Their results have just been published in the American Journal of Physiology.”
“Participants burned a similar amount of body fat and calories and lost the same amount of overall weight. The researchers attributed this to participants finding half an hour of exercise more ‘doable’ in their schedules, and in their mental states. The light at the end of the tunnel appearing 30 minutes closer results in the exercises pushing themselves even harder to reach their potential, and often gave them greater energy for the rest of their day. This results in more calories burned, and surprisingly, less calories being consumed overall.”
The trend in fitness has slowly transitioned from the 60 minute aerobic class to the 30 to 45 minute mixed sessions. Even Beachbody, the largest provider of fitness workout dvd’s, has switched. 21 Day Fix, P90X 3 and the new Core De Force are all workouts in 30 minutes or less with just a couple of workouts hitting the 45 minute mark.
The average lunch break, child’s team/music practice and American TV show is 60 minutes. If you can take half of that time and get in an intense 30 minute workout just imagine where you would be now. Sprints during soccer practice, a walk around the office at lunch or squats and pushup’s during Scandal could be the difference of those 10 pesky pounds. If you pack those 30 minutes with a mix of higher intensity moves to raise your heart rate and weight bearing moves to build and strengthen muscles you can fit that workout in to your schedule no matter the day. The most important trick that most people miss is to actually put that workout in your schedule. It is an important part of your day so it deserves a spot on the calendar.
GymGO has taken that 30 minute window and made it even easier by bringing the trainer to you. Whether you are at home, in the office or at the kids soccer practice you can do a session with a personal trainer and all you need is your tablet, laptop or cell phone and some Wifi. Want an intense weight lifting session but need that push and support of a personal trainer? The feel of the one on one in the gym without the travel? Then gymGO has you covered. Don’t let time be an excuse anymore.
